SOYBEANS
Soybean, originally a legume plant native to Asia, is today one of the primary crops cultivated worldwide.
It is an oilseed containing approximately 20% oil.
The extraction of oil from soybeans results in high-protein products that can be further processed in the feed and food industries.
Soybean meal is the primary feed product obtained from this process.
Additionally, soybean oil and whole soybeans are also valuable in the feed industry.
Whole soybeans undergo heat treatment to remove and improve anti-nutritional factors; they can be ground, pelleted, or turned into flakes or powder for use.
Soybeans, which are very rich in phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, iron, and amino acids, are used particularly as poultry feed.
